Local favorites, The Holly Creek Girls play an eclectic, energetic mix of original Americana and classic country hits. Two-time winners of the Winston-Salem Shuffle for their original songs, The Holly Creek Girls project all the fun they're having on stage to their audience - the result is a show filled with great energy.

The band (Terri Flagg, Monty O’Brien, John Hartman and Julia Bailey) covers everything from Dolly Parton to The Grateful Dead, with tributes to Gillian Welch and Ray LaMontaigne in between.

One of our favorite showmen, Woody Pines, returns to Jessup Mill this summer with a new CD!

Woody’s latest album, Rabbits Motel, brings in a bit more of a country feel than his previous one, with some electric instruments you wouldn’t see in a jug band. Some tracks bring in a full studio sound that leaves the street corner behind, but opens up rich new possibilities. Still thoroughly grounded in the blues and rags of before, this album adopts a touching lyricism and an independent streak that brings to mind Iron and Wine, among others.

One can only imagine what will be next for Woody Pines after this album, but without a doubt there will be more touring, more old songs made new, and more new songs that sound straight out of your granddad’s 45s. Woody has established himself at the forefront of a generation of musicians who are reminding us what great music is, all over again.
