A Corn Shucking Frolic will be held on Saturday, October 17 from 10AM until 5 PM at Horne Creek Farm in Pinnacle, NC.
Horne Creek Farm is under development as a place to experience everyday farm life in North Carolina's northwestern Piedmont ca. 1900. Visitors can take part in daily activities and special events of bygone farm life, as well as see, smell, touch, and hear things once common in rural North Carolina.
On Saturday, they will have children's games, quilting, beekeeping, apple butter, southern heritage apple orchard, tobacco curing, molasses making, wildlife display, wagon rides, country store, storytelling and more.
The Frolic will also have traditional old time, bluegrass and gospel music along with clogging and square dancing.
Chicken stew, pintos, fried pies and more is also available.
A $3.00 donation is requested per person. No pets are allowed and the event will be canceled in the event of rain.
