The sustainability movement will come to the forefront in Winston-Salem on September 25 during the GO Expo, presented by Modern Automotive Group. Through workshops, presentations, exhibits and hands-on activities, the GO Expo will offer practical information on sustainable practices for residents, educators, business owners and building professionals.
Highlights include a speech and book-signing by Sarah Susanka, author of the best-selling “The Not So Big House” series of books; the opportunity to test drive hybrid cars; a “green” house and a “green office” built on site that visitors can walk through; classes to satisfy credentialing requirements for architects, designers, builders, and engineers, and a U.S. Green Building Council exposition of the latest sustainable products and technologies.
Workshops, presentations, and activities will show visitors how to incorporate sustainable principles and practices in eight areas of everyday life, including homes, schools, offices and businessses, neighborhoods, gardens and transportation.
Admission is free. For more information visit http://www.goexpows.com/
