Master Gardener Fundraising Plant Sale

The 2010 Forsyth County Master Gardener Plant Sale will be held Friday, Sept. 17, from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to noon. The sale takes place rain or shine at the Forsyth County Agricultural Building, 1450 Fairchild Rd., Winston-Salem. Funds raised by this annual event support Master Gardener projects and outreach programs for adults and children in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. Master Gardener Volunteers will be on hand throughout the sale with advice on selecting and growing plants, which are donated by local nurseries and garden centers and by volunteers. The wide selection of plants usually includes perennials for sun and shade, native wildflowers and ferns, herbs, ground covers, trees, shrubs and roses. There will also be an assortment of large, potted mums.
