Growing Grapes
On Tuesday, October 12th, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Carver School Road Branch Library, Forsyth Extension Master Gardener Volunteer and Landscape Designer, Marcia Wood will present a 1 to 1 1/2 hour presentation on Growing Grapes in the Landscape as part of a Series of Home and Garden programs for the Fall 2010 Season. The Master Gardener Volunteers and Extension Agents will be presenting 28 programs in the 10 county libraries. The speakers are presenting 16 different topics that are timely for local gardeners.
Home grown fruit, especially grapes, are so much better when you pick them fresh from your own vines. Find out how to grow them in your home garden. Preparing the soil, amendments like fertilizer, how many vines you need, pruning, and harvesting are all discussed with this program.
