2009 Big Sweep

The 2009 Big Sweep waterway cleanup is on Saturday, October 3 from 9AM until 12:30 PM. We participate yearly by cleaning Buffalo Creek and the creeks that feed Buffalo Creek in our area. Last year, Winston-Salem had 3,500 volunteers in 40 locations. It was the largest cleanup in all 100 counties of North Carolina. If interested in volunteering, contact Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful at 336.771.5161 or 336.403.7824 or email Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful. All supplies and food are provided. If you cannot participate in the cleanup on October 3, you may schedule another day and/or time that is convenient for you and your group.
