May 22 - Row crops, Stevia, Bees, Hoke and Scotland Counties

June 17 - Effective Marketing Strategies
June 26 - Orchard, Value-added Montgomery County

July - August   BREAK—NO CLASS

September 16- Ag Plan Review
September 25 - Pastured Pork & Poultry Field Trip

October 21- Risk Management
October 23 - Pumpkins and Corn Maze Field-Trip to Lee County

What is the Sandhills Farm School?
The Sandhills Farm School is a 7-month educational program that trains beginning and transitioning farmers with a strong commitment to operate successful small-scale, sustainable farms.
The school offers seven business-planning seminars, which will give farmers the tools to create a viable business plan for a small scale, economically sustainable farm enterprise. The school also includes seven field trips to working farms led by innovative experienced farmers and agricultural professionals.

Classes will be held at the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Station, Pages Lake, 301 Lake Park Crossing (corner of US #1 Hwy. and Maple St.), Aberdeen.
Participants learn:
 Low-cost Sustainable Farming Methods
 Business Planning & Development
 Financial Management
 Effective Marketing Strategies
*Farm School is geared for the Adult learner. Minimum age for classes and field trips is 12 years of age.
