Permaculture Gardening

EARTH MATTERS offers classes, workshops and consultation in growing your own food, creating edible landscapes, and living more simply. It believes that both the earth and people benefit when homes, schools and communities grow what they deserve: clean, nutritious, and seasonal food. It also demonstrates how to turn “less is more” into a satisfying way of life. Dr. Charlie Headington conducts Permaculture gardening workshops at his home, directs school garden gardening prgrams, and teaches courses in sustainability and simple living at UNC-Greensboro. In the Permaculture Gardening workshop you learn to: Garden in all four seasons Grow 15 kinds of fruit in your backyard Select the right fruits and vegetables Cultivate soil by sheet-mulching, not tilling Build inexpensive, self-maintaining ponds Compost all through the garden Find the best plants, books, resources Enjoy a low-maintenance, productive garden Email Charlie Headington at charlie.headington@gmail.com
