Goat Cheese at Winston-Salem Farmer's Market

Market Reminder!  Every Saturday morning until November 22, 2014 you'll find us in historic Old Salem at the Cobblestone Farmers Market.  This truly is one of the prettiest settings for a farmer's market--tucked away in the edge of beautiful Old Salem, yet convenient to Highway 52/Interstate 40 making it easily accessible to everyone in and around Winston-Salem.

Visit the Cobblestone Farmers Market Facebook page for details on what the other vendors are bringing this week!

A Few Fun Announcements:
- Two week countdown to the Tuesday afternoon market opening on May 27th, 3:30-6pm in the Arts District
- Draft House Band will be performing this Saturday...
- Pottery Fair on the Square begins at 10am in Old Salem. More than 30 North Carolina potters will be selling their wares.
- CFSA Triad Farm Tour will be June 7-8. Visit farms in the area, including a good number of Cobblestone Farmers Market vendors. Learn more on Saturday at the Farm Tour's informational booth on how to attend and which farms are participating.

This Saturday's local delights include (but certainly not limited to!):

- Gallins Family Farm with pastured pork, free range eggs and Carolina Dynamite compost
- Border Springs Farm: Rack Of Lamb
- Shore Farms Organics with seven types of lettuce, kale, bok choy, fennel, dill, spring onions, green garlic, eggs
- Buffalo Creek Farm and Creamery: Queso Fresco for veggies and salads
- Rail Fence Farm with kale, collards, bok choy, kohlrabi and vegetable transplants
- Three Sisters Artisan Bakery with Better Cheddar Bread, Lemon Pound Cake and Chai Cashew Crunch
-Plum Granny Farm with certified organic asparagus (last of the season!), spring garlic, spring onions, baby kale, salad mix and berry plants

We sample a few types of our farmstead goat's milk cheeses each week to help you find more flavors and types of our goat cheese that you'll love!

The coolers are stocked with your favorite cheeses and we bring a display filled with a variety of our goat's milk soaps too.  Come by to sample some cheese, ask questions about how we raise our goats, milk the goats, and make the cheese all on our 34-acre farm in Forsyth County.  Hope to see you there!

As a reminder, our farm store is just a few miles North of Winston-Salem Hwy 65 and Hwy 8 (Germanton Road) at the Forsyth / Stokes County line. We're open daily (9-6 Monday-Saturday and 1-6 Sunday) and there we have all varieties of our farmstead goat's raw milk aged and fresh goat's milk cheeses, farmstead meats (grass fed beef, pastured lamb, pastured chicken), pastured free range eggs, local jams and jellies, local foods, goat's milk lotions and soaps, gift items, farm toys, and more!  Our Farm Store is located in a corner of our pastures where our Nubian dairy goats roam.  These are the girls that are milked daily.  They provide the milk we use in the dairy on the lower level of our Farm Store to make the goat's milk cheese that you'll enjoy sampling during your visit with us!

Our cheeses are also available at local farmer's markets and local stores.  Visit our website to find out
everywhere that you can purchase or enjoy Buffalo Creek Farm and Creamery's farmstead goat's milk cheese.
