Join this Saturday seed swapping fun! 
~ NEW LOCATION ~

Slow Food Piedmont, with support from Old Salem Horticulture, will hold the much anticipated, annual seed swapping event for both new and long-time heirloom seed growers.
Free.

Seed swapping is also story swapping and there will be time to share the known history of special seeds, as well as to swap growing experiences from the wide variety of seeds grown and saved in our area.

A potluck lunch is a part of this day of fun, swap & share – you are invited to bring a dish you love to make from your garden bounty or from a favorite family recipe. Everyone is welcome!

Please bring a permanent marker and containers for seeds. Small envelopes, prescription bottles without labels, and film canisters work well.

The educational series is comprised of four classes that explore the role of soils, water, vegetation and materials in sustainable landscape design.

Sustainable landscapes can help alleviate the pressure being placed on the Earth’s ecosystems by working with nature to provide clean air and water, fertile soils and other essential aspects of our daily lives.

The Landscape for Life™ series is a product of the Sustainable Sites Initiative- a partnership between the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at The University of Texas at Austin and the United States Botanic Garden
