Hosted by leading experts, the tour gives you a chance to network with other beginning farmers, too. CFSA provides snacks, prizes and materials.
All this for just $3.
Tours are limited to 20 people each day. Tickets will be available online in a few days!
Itineraries:
SATURDAY TOURSaturday the tour will visit three impressive small farms: Millarckee Farm, Turtle Run Farm and Saxapahaw Community Farm. The tour will focus on organic produce growing, innovative fertility systems and small-scale livestock. Hosted by CFSA’s Eric Soderholm and others TBA.
SUNDAY TOUR
Sunday the tour will head to Ever Laughter Farm, Maple Springs Garden and Whitted Bowers Farm. The tour will focus on permaculture techniques and design, organic produce growing and biodynamic fruit growing. (Note that Whitted Bowers Farm is not on the Piedmont Farm Tour this year, so this is an exclusive chance to learn about this farm.) Hosted by Dr. Keith Baldwin, CFSA staff, and others TBA.
