Busy Busy Busy

This weekend's project is putting the metal roof on our "farmers market" shed. Will be glad to check it off of our to do list! We'll be using the shed for the first time at shed at the end of March, when we host the 2013 Piedmont Farm School and talk with the participants about being a small scale dairy.  A little later in the Spring, Mother Holtz Farm will be joining us on Sunday afternoons with their local fresh produce.  We already offer a selection of their jams and jellies in our farm store daily.
Our first batch of fresh goat milk feta cheese (shown in the brine above) was packaged up Saturday morning and placed in the cooler of the Farm Store.  It's been a busy week in the Farm Store, with us adding the fresh goat milk chevres and goat milk feta, in addition to our raw milk aged cheeses.
Our farm store is open from 1 until 6 today (9 until 6 Monday through Saturday). We have lots of grass fed and pasture raised meats, raw milk aged goat cheese, fresh chevre and feta along with local jams, jellies, honey, goats milk lotions, goat collectibles and more. With the "Spring" weather, it's a great time to visit Hanging Rock State Park while you are in the area too!
