April 5 Designated Small Farms Day in Stokes County
Stokes Cooperative Extension will present the annual Small Farms Day in Stokes County Tour on Friday, April 5 2013. The annual tour visits 4 – 5 innovative small scale producers affording the public the opportunity to learn about the varied types of agricultural enterprises in Stokes County.
Among this years tour stops are producers engaging in high tunnel and commercial greenhouse production as well as an individual working to produce American Chestnut trees that are blight resistant.
The tour van will depart the Cooperative Extension office in Danbury at 8:00 am and return at 12:30 pm.
There is no cost to attend the tour but advanced registration is requested.
